Attuned

Face-to-face training for creative expression

There are many ways to express ourselves.

However, awareness of one’s own body is essential for a fresh, authentic expression of creative, innovative brilliance.

It is the nature of consciousness to work together with our body, which is expressed through a natural, upright posture, an undisturbed perception and control of energy and the ability to move freely and in a well-coordinated manner.

However, the reality is different: Many of us experience an inner separation of body and consciousness, which restricts both personal and creative, innovative development.

When we train our body wisdom, our inner connection, we release our inherent powers. We gain access to an authentic expression, a space of attuned freedom, and the possibility to open up to inspiration. We experience ourselves as an “inspired body” that expresses itself attuned to the present moment – a unique, creative expression unfolds and becomes visible.

The training course “Attuned” I “Attuned” includes:

We use the Alexander Technique to tune into our inner being in a self-directed way. From this inner connection we move, express ourselves, tune into others and the space around us.

  • Alexander Technique: body-mind training: learning and deepening the Alexander Technique while sitting, standing, walking and in free movement
  • Conscious Movement: Expression and stillness in motion: Space, Movement, Inspiration – Free movement with music and in stillness incl. Study of universal movement and attunement resources
  • Depending on the framework of the course, topics such as boundary awareness, spontaneity & freedom, gentleness & letting go are explored

Words about the Alexander Technique:
Freedom in body, movement and expression
The AT is the oldest method for body awareness. It supports, liberates, inspires, optimizes our body posture, movements and voice, our entire expression becomes freer. Performance, coordination, intonation, joy of movement, inspiration, serenity and well-being also grow on a daily basis.
The technique is an essential part of training, especially at American and
English drama schools.

An overview of some of the effects:
1. Positive charisma and holistic presence in everyday life and on stage.

2. by interrupting patterns in a holistic way, AT can help to disrupt stimulus-response patterns and enable a healthy and independent way of dealing with external stimuli and internal impulses.

3. it improves the way you deal with yourself. A feeling of embodied lightness, mental clarity and alertness, the development of one’s own voice, decision-making ability and creativity in everyday life is promoted

4. high alertness and embodiment for authentic expression are cultivated.

Learning process

The process of learning the technique is characterized by the constant practical deepening of body awareness, an understanding of how one’s own stimulus-response patterns work and the disruption of habitual patterns of constriction and stress in our everyday activities. This stimulates vitality, spontaneity and body intelligence in the psycho-physical consciousness and increases the ability to meet everyday demands with alertness, inspiration and good coordination. We gain access to deep levels of self-embodiment, self-contact, perception, liberation and self-realization, and incidentally open up new joyful qualities of being in our self-experience.

Frederick Matthias Alexander

When F. M. Alexander developed his technique over 100 years ago, he was suffering from hoarseness and loss of voice as an actor despite being in excellent health. His search for causes led him to confront all the limitations of consciousness and active postural correction through muscular strength. When all the recommended efforts failed to restore his voice, his idea of not producing the speech disorder in the first place was to bring new hope and lay the foundation for the development of the Alexander Technique.

The Attuned Presencing practice enables you to apply effective awareness tools in everyday life in a self-directed way.

It is a presence or awareness work that is used by a wide variety of people:

  • to do their daily activities with ease, mobility and serenity,
  • to be creative and successful,
  • to improve their body awareness, posture, health, to connect with their body wisdom

QUOTE:

“The process of directing energy, that’s what our use/control is all about. It’s a process that we don’t understand particularly well, either theoretically or practically, but it’s such an essential process that we really need to study it and understand it better. Energy in the body is constantly directed by processes that we are often not aware of, processes that take place below the level of consciousness. Even when we sleep, energy is active in the body.
Consciously directing energy is another matter. That’s what we’re really about, that’s what we’re about when we use ourselves – the conscious direction/control of energy.”
